Experience after 3 years of use:
1. The brass is very prone to limescale deposits due to its grooves and very difficult to impossible to clean satisfactorily due to its surface sensitivity.
2. The pop-up central axis of the eccentric, on which the cap also sits, is secured in the guide with a small Phillips head screw. The axis tends to wobble very quickly (even with a newly ordered eccentric). Unfortunately, however, you cannot access this screw as it is shielded by the outer tube (ergo incorrect position for readjustments).
Conclusion: this eccentric will not have a long lifespan in regions with hard water. Furthermore, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they can tolerate a wobbly drain plug.
We will likely search for a completely different solution (will have to) after the now 2nd part in presumably 2-3 years.
